Rural Spencer Man Accused Of Damaging Squad Car

(Spencer)– Additional charges have been filed against a rural Spencer man originally charged in a domestic abuse case.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says 35-year-old Tracy Thompson was being arrested for domestic abuse assault around 1:30 p.m. Saturday when he became unruly as he was being taken to jail in a squad car. Thompson is accused of kicking a window in the car, breaking the window frame.

In addition to domestic abuse assault, Thompson was also charged with interference with official acts and criminal mischief in the fourth degree. He was booked into the Clay county jail.
