(Spirit Lake)– A Spirit Lake woman was injured in a one-vehicle rollover Friday east of Spirit Lake.
The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office says 19-year-old Sheila Wilson lost control of a 2002 Chevrolet as she was southbound on County Road M-56 near Elinor Bedell State Park. Authorities say Wilson was rounding a curve when she went into the east ditch…rolling twice. Wilson was ejected from the vehicle.
She was taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare with unknown injuries.
Wilson was charged with failure to maintain control, failure to maintain a seatbelt, possible OWI, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The vehicle sustained an estimated six thousand dollars in damage.
The crash took place around 2:15 p.m.
