(Des Moines)– Public meetings to discuss proposed rules for private and commercial docks…including one scheduled for this coming Wednesday in Spirit Lake…have been cancelled.
Ken Herring, Administrator for the Iowa Department of Natural Resources’ Conservation and Recreation Division, says they want to make sure all viewpoints are considered before proposing any rule changes. He says the agency will work with those who would be affected by the new rules to make their concerns are understood and considered. Herring says they’ll reschedule the meetings after that.
Meetings were scheduled for July 10th, 12th and 13th in Clear Lake, Spirit Lake and Des Moines.
