(Spirit Lake)– A rural Spirit Lake man was injured in a motorcycle accident Wednesday in the Triboji Beach area on the north side of West Lake Okoboji.
The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office says 70-year-old Alfred Steiner was driving a motorcycle eastbound on Lakeview Drive. Authorities say Steiner was nearing the crest of a hill and took evasive action to avoid colliding with a van that was turning into a private driveway. Steiner lost control and dumped the motorcycle. He was transported to Lakes Regional Healthcare with unspecified injuries.
The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by the Arnolds Park Police Department.
The mishap took place shortly after 3:00 p.m.
