Extremely Warm, Dry, Breezy Conditions Keep Local Firefighters Busy

November 22, 2014

(Arnolds Park)– Above normal temperatures, a breezy north wind and very low humidity combined again today (Friday) to creat a high fire danger.

The Arnolds Park/Okoboji Fire Department spent a good part of the afternoon (Friday) battling a grass fire in the Moore Lake area on the southeast side of East Lake Okoboji.

There was no word on a probable cause.

The Lake Park and Ashton Fire Departments battled separate grass fires Thursday.
