No Injuries Reported In School Bus/Pickup Collision

(Spencer)– No injuries were reported in a collision Tuesday east of Gillett Grove that involved a school bus and a pick-up.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says the mishap took place just before 8:00 a.m. at the intersection of county roads N-14 and B-53.

Authorities say a South-Clay school bus driven by 58-year-old Dennis Roberts of Dickens was northbound on N-14. Roberts failed to yield after stopping at the intersection and collided with a westbound pickup driven by Mark Linder of Fort Dodge.

The school bus was pushed into the northwest ditch. One student was on the bus at the time of the collision, but no injuries were reported.

Roberts was cited for failure to yield.
