Elections Planned For NW Aging Board

(Spencer)– Elections to fill vacant seats on the Northwest Aging Association’s board of directors will be held next month in Dickinson, Lyon and O’Brien counties.

Ray Miller of Spirit Lake and Richard Read of Lake Park are running for the seat representing Dickinson county. The election will be held Tuesday, May 9th at the Dinner Date sites in Spirit Lake, Lake Park and Milford.

In Lyon county, Ken Barker is the only announced candidate. The election there will be held Wednesay, May 10th at Dinner Date sites in Rock Rapids and Larchwood; and Thursday, May 11th at Dinner Date sites in George and Little Rock.

Paul Wittrock of Sutherland is running for the seat representing O’Brien county. The election there will be held Wednesday, May 10th at Dinner Date sites in Primghar and Sutherland.

Each director serves a two-year term and is responsible to their constituents 60 years of age and older in their respective county.

Persons 60 and over are eligible to vote in the elections.
