(Fostoria)– A Gillett Grove woman was injured in a one-vehicle rollover late Monday afternoon west of Fostoria.
The Iowa State Patrol says 46-year-old Kay Kibbie of Gillett Grove was southbound on 270th Avenue about five miles east of Fostoria. Authorities say Kibbie was slowing for a stop sign when a 1994 GMC pickup she was driving jackknifed and rolled in the east ditch, coming to rest on its top. Kibbie was pinned in the vehicle and had to be freed by extrication equipment. A passenger managed to crawl out of the vehicle.
Kibbie was taken by ambulance to Spencer Hospital. There was no word on the extent of her injuries.
The mishap took place around 5:20 p.m.
The Iowa State Patrol was assisted on the scene by Fostoria Fire and Rescue and Spencer Ambulance.
