Slick Roads Result In Personal Injury Accidents In SW Mn

(Undated)– Slick roads this past weekend caused problems for motorists in southwest Minnesota.

A single-vehicle rollover shortly before 11:00 a.m. Sunday on Interstate 90 two miles east of Jackson sent one person to the hospital.

The Minnesota State Patrol says 22-year-old Stephen Dygon of Fairmont was eastbound when he lost control on the ice-covered road. The vehicle went into the median and rolled.

A passenger, 19-year-old Dani Smith of Fairmont, was taken to the Jackson Medical Center where she was treated for a minor injury and released.

The State Patrol was assisted by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.

A rollover shortly before 1:00 p.m. Sunday on Highway 60 one mile west of Windom injured a Madelia, Minnesota man.

The State Patrol says 20-year-old Juan Porras was westbound when he lost control of a 1992 Chevrolet Blazer that left the road and rolled.

Porras was taken to the Windom hospital where he was treated for a minor injury and released.

Severe damage was reported to the vehicle.

The State Patrol was assisted on the scene by the Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Office.

And a single-vehicle rollover Sunday on Interstate 90 in Nobles county injured a Jackson woman.

The State Patrol says 22-year-old Jenna Larson of Jackson lost control of a 1998 Ford Explorer as she was traveling westbound. The vehicle went into the ditch and rolled.

Larson was taken to the Worthington hospital where she was treated for a minor injury and released.

Moderate damage was reported to the vehicle.

The nmishap took place shortly before 5:30 p.m.

The State Patrol was assisted on the scene by the Nobles County Sheriff’s Office and the Worthington Police Department.
