(Spencer)– A two-vehicle collision Sunday in Clay county sent three people to the hospital.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says a 1995 Oldsmobile driven by David Hoye of Everly and a 2001 Oldsmobile Silhouette driven by Steven Rogne of Hartley collided at the intersection of 180th Avenue and 340th Street. Authorities say Hoye was eastbound on 340th Street and Rogne was northbound on 180th Avenue and had stopped for a stop sign. Authorities say Rogne then pulled into the intersection, colliding with the vehicle driven by Hoye. Hoye’s vehicle came to rest in the ditch in the northeast corner of the intersection; Rogne’s came to rest in the ditch on the southeast corner of the intersection.
Hoye and Rogne, along with an unidentified passenger in Rogne’s vehicle, were all taken to Spencer Hospital where they were treated for minor injuries and released.
2,500-dollars in damage was estimated to the vehicle driven by Hoye; Rogne’s sustained an estimated 5,500-dollars in damage.
Rogne was cited for failure to yield.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by Everly Fire and Rescue; Fostoria Fire and Rescue and Spencer Fire and Rescue.
The mishap took place shortly after Noon Sunday.
