(Spencer)– Another major country act will be performing at this year’s Clay County Fair.
Fair officials say Trace Adkins, with special guest Heidi Newfield, will perform in front of the grandstand at 6:00 p.m. September 20th…the closing evening of the fair.
Adkins, who burst onto the country scene in 1996, has had a number of hit singles and albums since. He also won this year’s Academy of Country Music Awards and was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in 2003.
Newfield is the former lead singer for the country group “Trick Pony”. She left the group in 2006 to pursue a solo career and has released several singles, including the song “Johnny and June”, which was nominated for Single Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Video of the Year.
