(Sibley)– A Sibley man has died of injuries he sustained in a single-vehicle mishap last week.
The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office says 81-year-old Byron Lopau was initially taken to Osceola Community Hospital in Sibley and was then airlifted to a Sioux Falls hospital where he later died of his injuries.
Deputies say Lopau was northbound on Highway 60 and was entering an exit ramp into Sibley when he lost control. The vehicle rolled, coming to rest on its top.
The mishap took place shortly after 10:30 a.m. last Tuesday, April 21st.
