Clay County Authorities Break Up Underage Drinking Party

(Spencer)– The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy broke up an underage drinking party over the weekend.

Authorities say a deputy was on routine patrol at the Little Sioux River access at 270th Avenue and 420th Street around Midnight Friday night when he located four males by the river.

Upon investigating and speaking with them, he determined the four were in possession of alcohol.

While the deputy was dealing with them, four more vehicles with ten additional subjects in them pulled into the parking lot. Upon investigating, the deputy located a case of beer in one of the vehicles.

Four of the 14 were cited for minor in possession of alcohol and released.
