(Mallard)– A two-vehicle collision Tuesday three miles north of Mallard injured two people.
The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office says 39-year-old John Barrett of Curlew was eastbound on 460th Street and 40-year-old Ronald Hutchison of Mallard was northbound on 460th Avenue when the two collided in the intersection.
Barrett and Hutchison were transported by ambulance to the Palo Alto County Hospital. There was no word on the extent or nature of their injuries.
A 1996 Dodge truck driven by Barrett and a 1997 Jeep driven by Hutchison were both totaled.
The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by the Mallard Fire Department and First Responders and the Emmetsburg ambulance.
The collision took place shortly after 6:30 a.m.
