(Spencer)– Planned improvements at the Spencer Airport are getting a financial shot-in-the-arm.
U-S Senator Charles Grassley announced late Wednesday the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration has awarded a 153,614-dollar competitive grant to the Spencer Airport.
Airport officials say the money will be used to help rehabilitate a runway, apron and taxiway.
