(Estherville)– The city of Estherville has a new City Administrator.
Meeting in special session Thursday, the city council approved the hiring of Penny Clayton to the position effective July 1st at a salary of 90-thousand dollars.
Clayton is currently the City Clerk in Fort Dodge where she has been the past eight years. Prior to that she was the City Administrator/Clerk for the city of Rolfe for three years.
She will succeed Steve Woodley, who’s retiring.
Clayton is a native of Estherville. She and her husband Brian graduated from Estherville High School in 1988.
Clayton has an AA degree from Iowa Lakes Community College and a BA from Buena Vista University.
