(Arnolds Park)– There’s a vacancy on the board of directors of Historic Arnolds Park, Incorporated.
At their meeting Monday, the board accepted the resignation of Deb Dittsworth, who was also serving as Secretary. The board will consider making an appointment to fill the vacant seat at its next meeting. Board member Rick Barry was appointed interim Secretary.
Board members also reviewed financial reports for March and April and learned the amusement park and Queen Two’s overall performances were better than a year ago at that same time, due mainly to lower expenses.
It was reported the annual fundraiser for the park will be held Saturday, August 1st this year.
It was also pointed out this season marks the 120th year of existence for the amusement park.
General Manager Scott Pyle reported some 600 people went through the gates this past Friday for the park’s annual free evening.
