One of those occurred Wednesday on Highway 86 at mile marker 20 in Jackson county. Authorities say 66-year-old Jerry Myers of Fairmont was driving a 2006 Freightline tanker semi when he collided with the rear of a flat rack being pulled by a tractor driven by 77-year-old Rodney Peterson of Lakefield. The State Patrol was assisted on the scene by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.

The other deadly crash took place around 5:20 p.m. Teusday on Highway 60 near Heron Lake.
