(Spirit Lake)– The board of trustees of Lakes Regional Healthcare reviewed the hospital’s annual audit report at their regular monthly meeting this (Wed.) morning.
The report shows the facility had total revenue of slightly more than 23 and-a-half million dollars for the year ended June 30th…a 6.8 percent decrease from the prior year.
Total revenue included slightly more than 22.9 million dollars in net patient service revenue and slightly more than 591-thousand dollars in other revenue. Non-operating revenue was a little more than 828-thousand dollars which included slightly more than 474-thousand dollars in investment income; 350-thousand dollars in county tax revenue; and a gain of slightly more than 4,200-dollars on disposal of property and equipment and other income.
Expenses for the year totaled a little more than 24,888,000-dollars…a 0.6 percent increase from the prior year. Of that, a little more than 13 million dollars was for salaries and benefits; slightly more than 5.7 million was for supplies and other expenses; a little more than 2.8 million dollars was for purchased services and professional fees; and slightly more than 2.1 million dollars was for depreciation and amortization.
