(Emmetsburg)– Officials say charges are pending in connection with a single-vehicle rollover early Sunday in Palo Alto county.
The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office says Cory Minkler of Plover was driving a Ford pickup westbound on a county road when he lost control. The vehicle went into the south ditch, collided with an embankment, and rolled several times before coming to rest on its side in a field.
Minkler and a passenger, Elmer Zaugg of West Bend, were transported to the Palo Alto County Hospital in Emmetsburg. There was no immediate word on the extent of their injuries or conditions.
The 2004 Ford pickup Minkler was driving was totaled.
Deputies say the crash remains under investigation and that charges are pending the outcome of test results from the DCI crime lab.
The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the West Bend Ambulance Service, West Bend Fire Department, Palo Alto County Ambulance Service and the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Reserves.
The crash took place around 1:00 a.m.
