(Estherville)– An investigation into a complaint of domestic abuse has landed an Estherville man in jail on several charges.
Estherville police say an investigation into the incident this past Sunday at 601 North 6th Street resulted in the arrest of 34-year-old Darrilyn McPherson of Estherville. He’s accused of assaulting his live-in girlfriend. She was taken to Avera Holy Family Hospital for treatment of her injuries and was later released.
McPherson was charged with domestic abuse assault third offense…a class “D” felony; willful injury…a class “C” felony; and false imprisonment…a serious misdemeanor.
McPherson made an initial appearance before a Magistrate. He remained in the Emmet county jail on a 24,700-dollar cash or surety bond.
