(Arnolds Park)– A two-vehicle collision late Friday afternoon on Highway 71 at Lake Street in Arnolds Park claimed the life of a Milford woman.
Arnolds Park police say 50-year-old Diane Guthrie of Milford was driving a Ford Escape northbound when the vehicle crossed the centerline, colliding head-on with a southbound Ford pickup driven by 50-year-old Dr. Keith Klemme of Milford.
Klemme was taken to Lakes Regional Healthcare with serious injuries; Guthrie died of her injuries.
The Arnolds Park Police Department was assisted on the scene by the Milford and Okoboji Police Departments, the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office, Arnolds Park/Okoboji Fire and Rescue, Milford Fire and Rescue and Lakes Regional Healthcare ambulance and paramedics.
The collision took place around 5:47 p.m.
