(Worthington, Mn.)– Prosecutors have dropped a drunk driving charge that had been lodged against a northwest Iowa city official.
52-year-old Arlyn Pedley, Mayor of Ocheyedan, was charged with fourth degree operating while intoxicated after he was pulled over October 2nd of this year in Nobles county, Minnesota for speeding.
During the stop, a breathalyzer measured Pedley’s blood alcohol content at .09 percent. However subsequent test results from the state showed Pedley’s blood alcohol content was only .06.
As a result, Assistant County Attorney Travis Smith says Pedley will not be prosecuted.
