(Spirit Lake)– Officials with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources will host a meeting next week in Spirit Lake to talk about the future of hunting, fishing and trapping in Iowa.
Mark Gulick, the DNR’s Wildlife Bureau Supervisor for northwest Iowa, tells KUOO news the meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 23rd at the Dickinson County Community Building.
He says the DNR wants to gather input from stakeholders to make sure the agency is “on the right track and if we should maybe be looking at doing anything different.”
Gulick says Tuesday’s meeting in Spirit Lake is one of several the DNR is holding around the state.
Anyone who cannot attend that would like to submit comments may do so in writing. They should be sent to the Iowa DNR District Office; 122 252nd Avenue; Spirit Lake, Iowa…51360.
