November 22, 2014

(Jackson, Mn.)– The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office says a body discovered Sunday by a hunter in Springfield Township of Cottonwood county is believed to be that of a missing Heron Lake man.

49-year-old Kelly Fest was reported missing in June of this year.

A deer hunter spotted the body in a grove at a vacant farm place in section 16 of Springfield Township in Cottonwood county.

The body has since been transported to the Ramsey County Medical Examiners Office in St. Paul for a positive identification.

Jackson County Sheriff Roger Hawkinson says foul play is NOT suspected in the case.
