(Sibley)– Two men have pled guilty to separate drug charges in Osceola county.
27-year-old Robert Flores of Sibley pled guilty to possession of one-half ounce or less of marijuana with intent to deliver. Flores was ordered to pay a fine of $1,165 along with restitution for a court-appointed attorney and victim restitution, if any. He was also sentenced to imprisonment in the Osceola county jail for 180 days, with 121 days suspended. Flores was also placed on probation for two years.
Authorities say the charge against Flores stems from a search warrant executed on Flores’ residence in Sibley that turned up marijuana in the garage that had been bagged into individual personal bags.
In another case, 29-year-old Tony Blair of Ashton pled guilty to possession with intent to manufacture or deliver or conspiracy to manufacture or deliver marijuana, a class “D” felony. He was fined $1,627 along with restitution for court-appointed attorney fees. He was sentenced to the custody of the Iowa Department of Corrections for a term not to exceed five years, with all the time suspended. He was placed on probation with the Iowa Department of Corrections for three years, was ordered to undergo a substance abuse evaluation and to attend a victim, empathy and anger management class, and to comply with the treatment recommendations.
Authorities say the charges against Blair stem from April 28th of this year when the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at Blair’s residence that turned up a brick of marijuana in a container in his bedroom.
