(Worthington, Mn.)– A close call Monday on Interstate 90 west of Worthington.
The Minnesota State Patrol says one of its squad cars was parked on the traveled part of the roadway blocking a lane while crews removed a semi from the median. Authorities say the squad car had its emergency lights going. Troopers say the squad car was then rear-ended by a vehicle driven by 25-year-old Miesso Hami of Worthington.
Moderate damage was reported to a 2008 Ford Crown Victoria squad car and to a 2001 Chevrolet Impala Hami was driving.
No one was in the squad car at the time of the crash and no injuries were reported.
The collision took place shortly after 7:30 a.m.
Authorities say the road was ice-covered at the time.
