(Spencer)– The Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation has been awarded a $70,000 marketing grant through the Iowa Department of Economic Development.
Kathy Evert, Corridor President and CEO, tells KUOO news this marks the fifth year the economic development consortium has been awarded funding through the D.E.D’s regional marketing grant program.
Evert says they’ll use the funds to continue some existing online marketing programs along with the billboard, print ad and radio “Why Go Back” campaign that started in 2007.
Evert says they’ll also be using the grant for a new study that will focus on people who have moved into and out of the corridor recently to determine what the driving factors were for the relocations.
The Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation serves Buena Vista, Clay, Dickinson and Emmet counties.
