Study Touts Benefits Of Project Liberty

(Emmetsburg)– A study into the economic viability of POET Energy’s Project Liberty at its Emmetsburg plant shows the venture would generate as much as $37.8 billion in economic activity over 20 years and would employ more than 2,800 people.

The figures are listing in a report by Impact DataSource of Austin, Texas, which outlines short and long-term impacts of various projects receiving grants from the Iowa Power Fund.

Project Liberty is POET’s planned 25 million-gallon-per-year cellulosic ethanol in Emmetsburg.
