Jackson County Collision Injures Two People

(Jackson, Mn.)– A two-vehicle collision Friday in Jackson county injured the drivers of both vehicles involved.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office says Stacie Schmidt of Okoboji was driving a 2000 Mercury Sable southbound on County Road 29 and Melonie Wilfahrt of rural Jackson was driving a 2003 GMC Sierra eastbound on County Road 34 when the two collided in the intersection.

Schmidt was treated on the scene for minor injuries; Wilfahrt was taken to the Jackson Medical Center. There was no immediate information on her condition or extent of injuries.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Alpha First Responders, Jackson ambulance and Fire Department and the Minnesota State Patrol.
