(Spencer)– A Spencer fast food restaurant nearly wound up with a second drive-through last Thursday.
Spencer police say Annette Jordan of Storm Lake was driving a Kia Sorento when her foot slipped off the brake and hit the accelerator. The vehicle jumped a curb and struck the Taco Bell Restaurant, breaking out two windows and damaging a support beam.
No one in the building was hurt and no injuries were reported to Jordan.
Damage to the restaurant was estimated at $6,000; little or no damage was reported to the vehicle.
The mishap took place shortly after 8:00 p.m.
