(Primghar)– Minor injuries were reported early Saturday in a single-vehicle crash on a county road in O’Brien county.
The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office says 39-year-old Jerry Nieuwenhuis of Hospers was driving a 1984 Chevrolet pickup westbound when he collided with a large snowdrift, causing him to lose control. The vehicle went into the south ditch where it rolled once, coming to rest on its wheels. Nieuwenhuis was ejected from the vehicle.
A news release didn’t say whether or not Nieuwenhuis sought immediate treatment for his injuries. Authorities say he wasn’t wearing a seatbelt.
$3,000 in damage was estimated to the pickup.
The crash took place shortly after 2:00 a.m.
