(Everly)– Two area school districts have entered talks into the possible sharing of various administrators, staff members and some teachers.
School board members and Superintendents from the Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn and Clay Central-Everly districts met informally this week to discuss the possibility of sharing a Superintendent along with administrative, nurse, grounds keeping and some teaching positions.
However, the Clay Central-Everly school board has since narrowed that down after deciding to inform H-M-S it would like to take the superintendent’s position out of the talks. Several board members said they feel it would be in the best interest of the Clay-Central-Everly district to continue on with its own Superintendent atleast until the district’s financial situation is straightened out.
Clay Central-Everly currently has an interim Superintendent in place.
