(Lake Park)– A collision this (Thurs.) morning involving a car and a truck south of Lake Park sent one person to the hospital.
The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Offfice says 50-year-old Steven Determan of Spencer was driving a 1999 Chevrolet truck owned by Iowa Lakes Electric Cooperative northbound on County Road M-27 and was attempting to turn onto 190th Street. Authorities say Determan couldn’t see due to dense fog at the time and collided with a southbound 2008 Toyota Prius driven by 65-year-old Jack Marco of Hartley.
Marco was taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare. There was no information available as to the nature of his injuries or condition. No injuries were reported to Determan.
$10,000 in damage was estimated to both vehicles.
The collision took place shortly after 10:00 a.m.
The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by the Lakes Regional Healthcare ambulance and paramedics, Lake Park Fire and Rescue, and the Lake Park and Milford Police Departments.
