Teens Arrested On Drug Charges

November 22, 2014

(Spencer)– An Everly teen wanted on a warrant stemming from a probation search back on January 16th of this year was taken into custody Wednesday evening.

18-year-old Trey Ginger was arrested on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance. Ginger was booked into the Clay county jail and was released after posting a $1,000 bond.

Two other teens face drug charges as well in Clay county after a deputy who went to a residence at 109 East 2nd Street in Everly Wednesday evening saw two males leaving a residence get into a parked vehicle. Upon making contact with them, the deputy could detect a strong smell of marijuana in the vehicle. A consent search resulted in the deputy finding a small amount of what’s alleged to be a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

18-year-old Dalton Lorenzen of Spencer and a 17-year-old juvenile male from Paullina were both charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

Lorenzen was booked into the Clay county jail and was released after posting bond of $1,000; the juvenile was cited and released to his mother.
