(Orange City)– Two Spencer teens face drug and alcohol charges after being caught allegedly drinking at a teen dance in Granville Saturday night. Authorities say a subsequent investigation resulted in a canine unit turning up alcohol, drug paraphernalia and marijuana from a vehicle the two had been in.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office says 18-year-old Murray Scott and 18-year-old Trevor Black…both of Spencer…were arrested shortly after 11:00 p.m. Saturday. They were charged with possession of alcohol under the legal age, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana. The first two charges are simple misdemeanors; the latter is a serious misdemeanor.
Both teens were booked into the Sioux county jail.
