(Spirit Lake) — A new contract with the collective bargaining unit of the Dickinson County Secondary Road Unit was approved today (Tuesday) by the County Board of Supervisors. The agreement calls for a three-year contract with salary increases of 1% in the first year, 1.5% in year two, and 2% in the final year. The unit’s safety allowance for equipment was also increased to $150. The contract, however, does not allow for any changes or upgrades to the current health insurance coverage.
The Dickinson County Board of Supervisors also passed salary increases for the fiscal year 2012. The measure was approved by a 3-2 vote, and will mean a 3.5% increase in salary for the county’s auditor, recorder, sheriff, treasurer, and supervisors. Within the measure, the county attorney’s salary was set at 60% of that of a district court judge, which is $82,620.
This morning’s regular session also consisted of two public hearings. One was for a construction permit for a beef operation in Section 12 of the Silver Lake Township, and the other was for a manure management plan for the same operation.
