(Estherville)– Students at Iowa Lakes Community College can expect to pay more for meals, but housing costs will remain the same for the upcoming school year.
The college’s board of trustees Tuesday approved a proposal setting the total for meal fees at $2,500…an increase of $50 per semester. Those with a weekend meal plan will pay an additional $225. College officials say the increase is needed to help offset increasing food costs.
On another matter, the college will terminate an agreement with the Estherville Regional Wellness Center at the end of the year. College officials say about 150 students used the center on a consistent basis. The college was paying for nearly 250 students this spring. ILCC students who wish to remain members will be eligible for a discounted rate at the center.
