(Spirit Lake)– Dickinson county has a new Veteran’s Services Officer.
The board of supervisors today (Tuesday) approved a recommendation from the county’s Veteran’s Service Commission to hire Ann Miller to the position being vacated by Ernie Cupp, who will be retiring in June.
Miller has worked the past 10 years or so with the Veteran’s Services Office in Franklin county, Ohio, which includes the Columbus area.
She says she’s excited about her new job with Dickinson county. She starts April 11th when she’ll begin training with Cupp. Cupp’s last day on the job will be around June 28th.
Miller says she’s looking forward to working with Dickinson county veterans and getting to know them.
Cupp says he’s going to miss working with them, adding he’s taken a great satisfaction in helping veterans get what they’re entitled to.
