Lakes area youth can begin submitting their t-shirt designs for the upcoming 2011 Run for the Arts. The Pearson Lakes Art Center is looking for original artwork from kids 3-17 for this year’s event t-shirt.
The artwork must be completed in the 7-inch by 7-inch box on the entry form, which can be picked up at the Pearson Lakes Art Center on Highway 71 in Okoboji or downloaded on their website at www.lakesart.org. Entries are due by April 15 and the winning design will receive a free t-shirt and an art gift pack.
The Second Annual Pearson Lakes Art Center 5K/10K Walk or Run for the Arts is set for Saturday, June 18 at 8am. The run begins and ends the Pearson Lakes Art Center and utilizes the Dickinson County Trails. Registration forms for the run are also available, with registration fees of $30 before June 6 and $35 after June 6. The proceeds from the event will benefit the Pearson Lakes Art Center.
