(Spirit Lake)– A search warrant executed Sunday on a residence in the Francis Sites area landed two men in jail on drug charges.
The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office says the search was conducted in the early morning hours at 16620 255th Avenue.
24-year-old Mitchell Nordin and 46-year-old Drew Nielsen, both of Spirit Lake, were arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
Plant material believed to be marijuana was seized along with several items of drug paraphernalia.
Both Nordin and Nielsen were booked into the Dickinson county jail.
Authorities say the case remains under investigation and that additional arrests and charges are expected.
The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Spirit Lake Police Department and its K-9 Unit and the Okoboji Police Department.
