(Sibley)– A former nursing home worker faces theft charges in Osceola County for allegedly submitting false payroll claims at the facility.
The Sheriff’s Office says 45-year-old Darcy Martinez of Sibley was arrested today (Tues.) on charges of theft in the first degree…a class “C” felony; and theft in the second degree…a class “D” felony.
Authorities say the falsified claims were in excess of $10,000.
Martinez is also accused of using Country View Manor’s debit card to make personal purchases in excess of two thousand dollars.
Martinez was released pending a future court appearance after posting a $10,000 bond.
