(Ames)– The Iowa Transportation Commission today (Tues.) awarded a RISE, or Revitalize Iowa’s Sound Economy Grant, to Palo Alto county.
Up to $350,000 will be made available to assist in the reconstruction of about 5,227 feet of 390th Street east from Highway 4 and 2,784 feet of 470th Avenue North to the Project Liberty Site just south of Emmetsburg.
D.O.T officials say the project will support the creation of 35 new jobs along with $250 million in associated capital investment.
