(Emmetsburg)– A single-vehicle rollover Thursday in Palo Alto county sent one person to the hospital with minor injuries.
The Sheriff’s Office says Michael Clark of Graettinger was driving a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado eastbound on a county road when he swerved to miss some deer on the road, causing him to lose control. The vehicle fishtailed and went into the north ditch, where it flipped onto its top.
A passenger, Marcus Cox of Emmetsburg, was taken to the Palo Alto County Hospital where he was treated and released. Clark and another passenger, Brandon Schechinger, weren’t injured.
Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $8,000.
Clark was cited for failure to maintain control.
