Former E’Ville Man Sentenced In Federal Court On Meth Case

(Sioux City)– A former Estherville man has been sentenced to atleast 13 years in federal prison for distributing methamphetamine.

29-year-old Beau Berge, who now lists his Carroll as his home address, was sentenced Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Sioux City.

He pled guilty to the charge in November of last year.

At the plea hearing, Berge admitted he conspired to distribute more than 500 grams of methamphetamine from 2008 through February 2010 in Emmet and Kossuth counties.

In addition to the prison term, Berge must also serve five years of supervised release.

The case was investigated by the Estherville Police Department, Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement, and the Emmet, Clay and Kossuth County Sheriff’s Offices.
