(Lake Park)– Two people face charges in connection with break-ins Saturday at the Lake Park swimming pool and early yesterday (Sun.) at the Lake Park Country Club.
Lake Park Police Chief Joe Hoover tells KUOO news officers were called to the Lake Park Country Club after getting a report of a burglar alarm going off. Officers conducted a search of the premises and observed two subjects fleeing the business on foot. The two were arrested a short time later at an apartment at 245 Country Club Drive in Lake Park following a foot pursuit.
22-year-old Christopher Neal Hofmann of Lake Park was arrested on two charges of burglary in the third degree…a class “D” felony, conspiracy to commit burglary…also a class “D” felony; and interference with official acts…a simple misdemeanor.
Hoffman was booked into the Dickinson county jail where he’s also being held for Cottonwood county, Minnesota officials where he’s wanted for failure to appear on charges of forced burglary and for probation violations.
A juvenile, who’s name hasn’t been released, was also arrested on charges of burglary in the third degree and conspiracy to commit burglary…both class “D” felonies; and interference with official acts…a simple misdemeanor.
The Lake Park Police Department was assisted in its investigation by the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office.
