(Orleans)– Few details are available into an incident in which a 22-month-old child died earlier this week after ingesting fluid used to light tiki torches.
It apparently took place Tuesday at the Marble Beach Campground on the west side of Big Spirit Lake.
The child, believed to be from Spencer, was rushed to Lakes Regional Healthcare and was then airlifted to a Sioux Falls hospital and died a short time later.
The Iowa Department of Criminal Investigation was notified of the incident.
