Clay County Traffic Stop Results In Charges Against Several People

(Spencer)– A traffic stop Friday in Clay county resulted in charges against several people.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says it happened shortly after 10:30 p.m. when a deputy pulled over a suspect vehicle in the 2400 block of Highway 71. A subsequent investigation resulted in authorities finding three small Ziploc bags and two baggies of marijuana in the vehicle.

23-year-old Jeffrey Mueggenberg of Des Moines was charged with driving while revoked. A passenger, 24-year-old Jesse Heiselman of Des Moines, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, and 25-year-old Alayna Damerville, also of Des Moines, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

All three were booked into the Clay county jail.
