(Mankato, Mn.)– A two-vehicle collision Sunday near Mankato claimed the life of a Lakefield resident.
The Minnesota State Patrol says a Chevy Cobalt was eastbound on Blue Earth County Road 90 and collided head-on with an Oldsmobile Alero. Authorities say officers were responding to the area because they had a driving complaint about the Cobalt prior to the crash.
A passenger in the Cobalt and the driver of the Alero were killed. The State Patrol identified the passenger as 23-year-old Amber Menezes of Mankato. The driver of the Alero was 35-year-old Jonna Martin of Lakefield.
The condition of the Cobalt’s driver wasn’t released.
