(Des Moines)– A company looking at expanding two of its operations in northwest Iowa has been awarded funding through the Iowa Economic Development Board.
The board today (Thurs.) awarded $100,000 in direct financial assistance and tax incentives for Rembrandt Enterprises, Incorporated’s proposed expansion of its facility in Rembrandt. The project would expand the company’s extended shelf-life pasteurization and packaging lines for liquid whole egg products.
The proposed project would create 22 jobs and represent a $3.6 million capital investment. Tax incentives approved for the project are through the High Quality Jobs program.
The board also approved tax incentives through the same program to Rembrandt Enterprises, Incorporated for a possible expansion of its facility in Spencer. That facility produces inedible dried-egg products for the pet food industry.
The proposed project would create two jobs and represent a capital investment of more than $967,000.
The Iowa Economic Development Board also approved awards for companies in Lytton, Des Moines, Dubuque, Boone, Cedar Rapids, Ames, Ankeny and Coralville that officials say will create up to 256 new jobs.
